My administration will partner SALTCCIMA to develop Ebonyi — Gov Nwifuru

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru, has pledged to collaborate with the Salt City Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (SALTCCIMA) to advance the development of the state. This commitment was made during the inauguration of SALTCCIMA and the investiture of its first President, Barrister Chukwuemeka Eze, at the Super Mike Hotel in Okposi, Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state.

The event was attended by the National President of the Nigeria Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), as well as the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry Ebonyi State, Chief Oguzor Nwali, the Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Chief Elechi Elechi, and other dignitaries including the Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, the Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development, media and security agencies, and traditional rulers.

Governor Nwifuru, represented by the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Uguzor OffiaNwali, assured SALTCCIMA that the government would provide a peaceful and conducive environment for investors. He expressed his belief that the plans of SALTCCIMA are in line with the needs of the people and committed to providing support to make the chamber the best in the South East region.

In his acceptance speech, President of SALTCCIMA, Mr. Chukwuemeka Eze, promised to collaborate with the government to ensure that investors have a peaceful environment to thrive in their businesses. He emphasized the importance of having an organized body like the chamber of commerce to engage with the government on business policies. Mr. Eze revealed that SALTCCIMA is one of the seventy city chambers in Nigeria and one of the seventeen chambers in the South-East, and credited their impact as the reason for attracting government partnership.

Additionally, the pioneer Director-General, Dr. Emmanuel Nwafor, highlighted the role of SALTCCIMA in providing a conducive environment for entrepreneurs and expressed gratitude to all the attendees for their participation in the event.
